Girls Trip

My mother in-law plans a girls trip once a year for all the Bement girls to escape our daily grind and enjoy a little girl time. This year we all went up to Snowbird for the night and enjoyed talking, laughing all night long. It was a quick trip but I was so happy I was able to go and spend time with these ladies! It was absolutely beautiful. Our view from the hotel was breathtaking and I could of sit out on the porch all day.  On our way to breakfast we say a Moose and her calf drinking water from the pond. We kept our distance, but it was cool to see up close. Living in Bountiful we see deer all the time but its a rare occurrence to run into a moose!
I love hanging out with these ladies. I look up to them all in different ways and they sure know how to have a good time! I can't wait until next year! (We missed you Martina!)

2 Years

I am about a month behind blogging about the twins second Birthday. I have had every intention on recording the big event and my thoughts on the past 2 years but having TWO, two year olds can be a little crazy and I will admit I often have about 200 messes to clean up instead of blogging. But since blogging is the new scrapebooking, I want to cherish every moment with these two!

For their Birthday, we had a little get together with family and a few friends at a splash pad park that is close to our home. It was a hot day and just perfect.

For their actual Birthday were were up at the ranch. I was planning on running the Star Valley Half Marathon but due to nagging injury Brent did it! It was his first race ever and he killed it! 1:58.

The twins had a great day! We played on the swing set, rode four wheelers, had cake and ice cream and ended the night by the campfire. We are so thankful for these two little babes in our life. I can't even believe they are two. They are picking up on everything we say and do and say things everyday that make us laugh.

Moments in May

May was a month we will never forget.
I ran the Moab Red Rock Relay with my GPP friends. It was probably one of my favorite relays, We were known as the GPP Barbies!

I can't wait to do it again next year!

I also ran Ogden Marathon the next weekend in 4:02. I was off my goal but coming off a hip injury I was just happy to finish. It was a beautiful course and I will tackle it again next year.

We spent the next weekend in St. George with Brents Mom. We spent some time out in the sun and hiked to some Indian petroglyphs.

It was starting to get warm and we were happy to spend the days at the park and the pool!

The Utah Blaze had an alumni Blaze dancer half time show. I never thought I would pull out those pom-poms again. But we spent the week learning choreography, it was so fun. I miss the energy and excitement of performing. It was great to get back together with the girls!

Here are a few more moments in may that were unforgettable.

Moments in April

Wow. It has been so long since I have made time to update our family blog. Life goes by so fast, with crazy, happy, unforgettable moments and I want to make sure to document them. Here I go.
April was a busy month for us, Brent wrapped up tax season (Yahoo!), celebrated Easter multiple times.

We had several family easter hunts, Tanner and Baylee both caught onto the egg hunt pretty quick, once they discovered there was candy inside! It was fun to see how excited they got when they spotted an egg and would run over to it and open it immediently to get the candy out!

I went to California to run Ragnar with a few cousins and friends.

We made sure to make a little time for some beach cruising!

The next weekend Brent headed to Moab with his family while I stayed home for a family wedding! Grandma and Grandpa Rawlins stayed with me to help with the twins.

We got a dog! Brent and I both missed having a little pup running around and figured it may keep Tanner and Baylee entertained. We named her Tikka, she is a black pomeranian/yorkie. We adopted her from a family in Herriman.

Brent and I went to a Jazz game with my sister and went to city creek for dinner at texas de brazil to celebrate the end of tax season. I love date nights with Brent, we go way to long between them but they are always a reminder of how much fun we have together.

Here are a few more moments in April that make me smile.

"I am a Child Of God"

Every week for singing time in nursery we sing, "I am a Child Of God". We hand each child a little mirror so they can see themselves singing the words to the hymn. Tanner smiles and hums softly along and it melts my heart every time.
Some days can be stressful, crazy and sometimes I just get discouraged with everything going on, that I just can't keep up. It is times like that, we should just look at ourselves in the mirror and sing "I am a Child Of God."
